When Israel caught the travel bug years ago, he left his home in NYC to see the world, but more importantly to hear it.  Guitar in hand, Israel made his way through Central America, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Carribean. Though he’d been writing songs for some time, the cultural influence of the more than 25 countries he visited seeped through his creative practice.

In the 15+ years that Israel has been writing songs, he’s become known for his diverse talent.  He’s written upwards of 100 jingles, created promotional music and custom songs for discriminate clients.  Some of his clientele include Dorito’s, the Salvation Army, and Care Bear.

A few years ago, Israel had some friends ask him to create a song for their son who was becoming a Bar Mitzvah. Sung Kumzitz style for family and friends, it was an immediate hit. That night, Israel had requests for future bar/bat mitzvahs, and every subsequent rendition was equally lauded.  The Bar/Bat Mitzvah edition was added to Music writing menu.
